“Meet the Plant Parts” is a cute interactive quiz that identifies the parts of a salad and how they are all different parts of the plant. Gives some specific characteristics for each part of the plant. |
| At Botanical Online find diagrams, activities and such on parts of a plant. Some info may be more than what first graders need, but you can be selective. |
Growing Herbs in the Classroom provides fairly easy directions for growing plants. If not in the classroom, perhaps some would like to try it at home. |

National Air and Space Museum has some pretty basic info on how planes fly but certainly need adult help for grade 1 reading. Also check out the link to “wings at the museum” for some neat photos of planes then and now.
