School Council
Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 71, Section 59c of Section 53, the Blanchard Memorial School is required to establish a School Council. The Boxborough School Committee recognizes the purpose of its school council to: 1. Assist and advise the Superintendent/Principal in adopting educational goals for Blanchard. 2. Assist the Superintendent/Principal in the identification of the educational needs of Boxborough students. 3. Assist and advise the Superintendent/Principal in the review of the proposed annual school budget. 4. Assist the Superintendent/Principal in the formulation of a school improvement plan. The Blanchard Memorial School Council is to consist of parents of students attending the school, teachers, and other persons drawn from such groups or entities as municipal government, business or labor organizations, or other interested groups. |
