Requirements for Computer and Peripheral Donations

  Any equipment that is donated must be in working order, free of viruses and be of immediate use* to the school and not more than 3 years old.  Any peripherals (printers, scanners, cameras, etc.) must be accompanied by all documentation, software and drivers that came with them.  Please clean off all personal files and software that is not being donated with the computer.  Computers should come with the Windows XP Professional SP2 operating system.  Printers should be manufactured by HP, unless you are also donating a significant amount of ink/toner with the printer.

The following equipment and software is currently being accepted:

·         Any Windows/Intel computer with at least a 1.2GHz processor and higher having a minimum of 512MB RAM.  Please include all documentation and CD’s that came with the computer with your donation.

·         Any Computer Notebook meeting the above criteria

·         Any HP laser printer or HP ink jet printer that is not more than three years old

·         USB Scanners compatible with Windows computers  and not more than three years old

·         High quality 17” color monitors, or larger - compatible with above equipment and not more than three years old

·         Digital cameras and/or digital video cameras

·         Presentation Projectors (InFocus, or other brand) not more than three years old, and with a working bulb and VGA cable

·         Networking equipment (switches, etc.) not more than three years old that can be used immediately as an upgrade to our network
